I'm very impressed by your skills and patience, the 'seams' are just so damn good!
Do you always use the regular, plastic tape?
When joining veneer for furnitures I always use a paper tape that I wet and glue on - and when it dryes and shrinks, it presses the seams toghether. And after it's glued to some wood core (like MDF) I wet the tape again and can easily strip it off.
